Mary's websites "letter" claims to be for the working people. She knows whats its like to struggle to make ends meet.
I recently read an article in the Dispatch that the Commissioners are refusing to negotiate raises for the working people at the Cornoners office. I would imagine that has to be a rough job on a good day! Death, and biohazardous materials, etc. The article states that they are underpaid compared to other counties in the state.
Well how in this situation is Mary helping the working man? If she won't do it on a local level, what's to say she will on a larger scale?

It appears the contention between Obama and Hillary is quite overblown. They are in the same ballpark, but the Republicans are playing different sports. However the point is moot because people help their nose and voted for McCain. It looks like next year we will be inaugurating Obama or Hillary or perhaps both. Hopefully it gets competitive but it doesn't look like it.

I don't disagree with you that the Move on ad against General Petraeus was over the top and rather than help it actually created more problems for some Democrats in office. I also can't say that it surprised me that Move on decided to endorse Obama, for them to have endorsed Hillary would have been surprising. Every party has those at the extreme end of the political spectrum, how much importance they play in the process will be interesting in the months to come.

Why are the taxpayers paying for a new ballpark anyway?
Why are they asked to subsidize private enterprise? We can't afford schools, teachers, police officers, etc. but we can afford $56 million to give a ball team new digs!

Jennifer Brunner is inheriting the wind of arrogance and self-righteousness that she's blown across Ohio. For someone who said Ohio's election system works only as well as it does because of the expertise and hard work of local election officials, it seems counter intuitive she would make enemies of these people by forcing a system they don't want and can't afford down their throat or firing them if they don't cowtow to her dictatorial directives.

Brunner is not a team player. She's a micro-managing bully who doesn't know how to react to anyone who says no to her other than to fire them or threaten them with her office powers. She's offloading the fear and intimidation that runs rampant through her own agency to county BOEs, who, as Bob Bennett said, don't need her as much as she need them.

Ohio bought a pig in a poke when they elected Jennifer Brunner. She sounded good during the election, but she's been nothing but bad news in office.
